每年的四、五月份是抽藤坑休閒農業區最適合觀賞螢火蟲的季節，低光害、低汙染的優質生態環境，夜間螢火蟲穿梭，此起彼落的螢光與星光相互輝映。配合旅行社，台中新社區農會推出「2015桃李城市賞螢趣」，結合賞螢、採桃子等行程，活動日期自4月18日至5月10日。
